I saw you, yet I saw you not!

I Saw You
I saw you, yet I saw you not,
When cupid fired a careless shot,
Ignorant of the timely, fateful plot.
Of tears, rejections sorrows induced,
Aphroditic grace, so meanly used.
I saw you, yet I saw you not.
Intentions mine, of the lowly baser sort,
Wishing not a beautious soul to court
I, letching only sexual conquests gain,
Saw not your inner anguished pain.
I saw you, yet I saw you not.
But soon, after obsequious intro made,
We talked, a threesome, with your aide,
T'was then made plain, to gain my dubious aim,
I must change my tactics, play another game.
I saw you now, as Cupid bid me do.
A sincere courting I must pursue, at slower pace,
If with your favours you were to me show grace.
So I embarked, a chastened man, to seek your love
Approach, nay not with Hawk, but peaceful dove.
I saw you now, as Cupid's arrows flew.
Acceptance, oh so sweet, now my chastened soul,
Can offer nought but love Aye, until death does toll.
I vow to cherish and protect, that love which I knew
we held so dear, t'would last our whole lives through.
I see you now. My precious own to view.
