"Hmmm, thought God, as he watched the last bit of entropy do its work and the last vestiges of the universe quiver and wither and cease to be.
He leaned his handsome chin on his mighty fist (his best smiting fist) and gazed with eyes as infinite as infinity at the newly created void.
"That was interesting, he thought. "What shall I do next?
He pondered briefly for a few millennia, tapping mighty fingers on nothing at all, then snapped those same fingers. "I know, he thought.
Drawing himself up to his full galaxy-dwarfing height, he pushed back his sleeves and raised his arms. In declamatory tones of purest thunder, he spoke:
"Let there be light.
