Virtuous to Vicious

In the village of Blackberry,
Upon the afternoon sun,
Where the blossoming flowers shone,
Where every good deed was done.
Where the trees sing like shrill birds,
On many a dark grey morn,
The moon is a haze of evil,
A place where families are torn.
Like in many a busy place,
There are different types of people,
The wicked, the gluttonous type,
The brave, the pleasant example.
It was Daniel the baker,
Who had touched upon this fact,
He contemplated for a while,
Until he settled for a nap.
Then he had a very strange dream,
Which called to him, like waves in the sea
A dazzling figure, glowing white,
Said some wondrous words to the.
“You will be given heavenly bread,
At which you will sell for free,
And it is with this kind service,
That you will know the true price,
Of virtue and greed.”
So with his coarse brown, ragged clothes,
And his round pot-bellied cheeks,
He put his good bread up for sale,
Which would feed people for weeks.
His first customer of the day,
At which he was acquainted,
Was a kindly and noble man,
Whose life and blood is not tainted.
He is a king of most men in spirit,
And walks with modesty,
Which most people revere him by,
He lives a life of honesty.
Noticing the good free bread,
He takes a single piece,
He shares it between his fellow men,
And they are all at peace.
But a second person comes too,
While barging people away,
He is a rich man from sky terrace,
He is rude and nasty always.
The village folk despise his sight,
And he walks with a cocky stride,
People compare him to a horse,
Because he is big enough to ride.
He grabs a very big handful,
And eats it all in one go,
It was not a shame he chocked and died,
Because now Daniel knows.
