Chapter 6
Sara hopped off the bus and headed home. She hated this cold dark winter nights too dreary. Oh well thought Sara “at least I have you” she said as she patted her shopping bag containing the most beautiful pink Jimmy Choo shoes you ever did see. While Sara was walking down the street towards home she noticed a very nice 09 plated Rolls Royce, black in colour with blacked out windows. Hope whoever’s car this is, they aren’t attached to their wheels thought Sara as she stopped in front of her house while routing through her bag for her keys.
“Hay, I’m home,” shouted Sara as she struggled through the porch door. “Do me a favour and put the kettle on chuck, I’ve had one hell of a day.”
Sara walked into the living room placing her bags on the floor. “It called for some serious retail therapy,”
“We’re out of milk! And you’ve had a bad day wait until you hear this?” said Amber as she looked at Sara and her treasure trove of goodies. “What the hell have you bought this time? The full bloody shop,” smiled Amber as she helped Sara into the room with the bags.
“Well there was a sale on, who am I not to purchase these wonderful items it would have been a travesty if I didn’t, and any way wait until you see my new shoes, oh my god!” said Sara as she began to get very excited. As Sara began unpacking the shoes to show Amber, she noticed a tall, very handsome man in the kitchen.
“Who is, Mr Bodacious?” Mouthed Sara to Amber, while using her hand to fan herself. “I’ve suddenly come over all flush,” laughed Sara as quietly as she could manage, “Who is he? Come on details”, whispered Sara.
“I wouldn’t even know where to start,” Amber whispered back as she looked at Sara.
“We need to move now!” said Michael as he stormed through the kitchen into the living room.
“Move! What’s this guy going on about?” said Sara “move where? What’s going on?”
Bark, bark, bark, Tinker bell began to scratch at the back door, bark, bark.
“What’s happening?” Said Amber as she looked at Michael
“There here,” he growled as he marched to the living room window taking a peak outside. “You need to go now. Take your friend with you!”
Amber stood up and grabbed Sara by the arm “We have to go!”
“Ok your freaking me out now, what the hell is going on, why are you dragging me out of the house?” Mumbled Sara as Amber pulled her towards the front door.
“Just trust me, Sara!” said Amber as she struggled with the door.
“What about, Tink?” said Sara as she began to pull backwards.
There was a huge bang and then a crash as the back door flew open, then the kitchen window smashed shattering glass all over the floor and kitchen sides. In came two large Vampires, they looked human, except for their eyes, as black as soulless pits, and the smell like rotting eggs, the smell was so bad it made Amber want to vomit. Next there was a pounding at the front door and a large shadow covered the glass.
“Little pigs, little pigs let me come in or I’ll huff and I’ll puff and I’ll blow your house down!
Then the front door cracked and splintered, crumbling at the force of the blow. In walked a woman, beautiful yet deadly, she had long black hair, pale skin and blood red eyes. She wore a red leather cat suit with black high heels. Behind the woman was another three vampires.
“Kill them!” said the woman while smirking at Amber “But leave, Michael to me!” the unknown woman stepped into the house with a predators walk, pushing past Amber and Sara, as she made her way towards the kitchen.
Michael was fighting the two vampires in the kitchen; he ducked low as one ran through the back door and went to hit him in the face with a chain. The vampire swung it around his head attempting to catch Michael around the neck. Michael banged his shoe on the kitchen floor, spring releasing a blade from his shoe; he kicked the vampire in the stomach, creating a deep gash across his belly. The vampire bent forward in pain, Michael’s flicked up his sword, decapitating the vampire in one foul swoop, turning it into dust.
The other vampire grabbed Michael by the throat digging in his claws, then hit Michael in the ribs. Michael grabbed the vampire with both hands and head butted him, as the vampire stumbled backwards picking up a knife from the kitchen side, Michael roundhouse kicked him, and then swung his blade forward removing its head.
As the three vampires entered the house Amber put herself in front of Sara. She had that strange feeling again, like a ripple running through her blood, making her strong. The first vampire came forward towards Amber; eyes black, face smiling “I’m going to enjoy this!” said the vampire as he pulled a large blade from his belt “A lot.”
The vampire lunged forward striking out for Amber’s throat with the blade. Amber dodged the blow and stepped forward; grabbing the demons wrist she banged his arm on the door frame. Smacking it so hard the vampires arm broke, and bent the other way. Green blood oozed from its arm as it dropped the sword onto the floor. Then she used her elbow hitting the demon in the face, followed by a punch with her right hand with as much force as she could manage. The vampire fell to the ground unmoving. The second vampire growled swooping Amber’s legs, causing her to fall to the floor. He pulled out a dagger from his side and went to plunge it down into Amber’s heart. Amber reached out to her right, claiming the sword from the floor and swung it round taking the vampires head clean off.
Sara stood there, holding her Jimmy Choo shoe in her hand using the heel as a weapon. The third vampire lunged for Sara, grabbing her by the arm.
“Oh no you don’t!” Sara shouted as she hit the beast with her shoe, causing several puncture wounds to its arm. “Look what’s happening to my new shoes! Hell No!” screamed Sara as she continued to beat the demon. The vampire clung onto Sara’s arm and attempted to make grabs for her throat. Sara kneed the vampire, so hard in his nether regions that its eyes actually watered.
“I know Judo!” she shouted “As in, ju don’t know who you’re messing with!” Sara continued to use her shoe as a weapon, hitting the vampire several more times before Amber removed its head with the sword, turning it into dust.
Michael turned around to find someone who he hadn’t seen in a very long time “Lilith!” he growled. “Michael,” said Lilith, “so this is where the Halfling’s been hiding?” she said as she looked around the kitchen. “I’m only going to ask you once, Michael join us, stand with us at the reckoning, and you will have riches beyond your wildest dreams, different women every night, your every desire?”
“I would rather die a thousand deaths!” said Michael bearing his teeth as he put his sword between them.
“Pity, I would have liked you as my play thing. But a thousand deaths can also be arranged!” Lilith moved forward with such speed she was a blur to the human eye. She smacked Michael so hard he flew backwards, feet lifting from the floor, and crashed through the bathroom door. Lilith walked forward and lifted Michael, holding him up above her head then threw him back into the kitchen. Michaels head hit the kitchen cabinet. He turned himself over, getting into a crouching position, Michael spun around extending his leg in an attempt to take Lilith’s legs from under her, but she was too quick, kicking him in the face with her high heeled shoe. Michaels head snapped back at the force, but he quickly recovered. As he grabbed her leg and twisted it around, forcing her to turn with it, and shoved her back into the kitchen side. Michael stood up reclaiming his sword. Lilith came forward attempting to punch Michael in the face. Michael stepped to the left, using his arm he moved it out and around pushing her arm away and throwing her off balance as she came forward. Michael stuck his blade directly into her heart, with an almighty scream of pain she turned into dust.
