Solving Our Problems With Violence

With our hands over our hearts we pledge allegiance,
To keeping this intolerance and division.
We've made the world of towel-heads and crackers,
Becoming one-dimensional labels and no longer real people,
(And how do we get the idea that we're any better?)

All of us were born with the same lack of information,
That everything in this world is subjective and uncertain.
Each of us formed our own opinions and with that, came narcissism,
We're each so convinced we have the right connotation.
(But life is made of theories that aren't proven.)

Genocide is committed due to difference of belief,
Because humans are afraid to understand each other.
Look at all of the hatred and conflict regarding the Bible,
I guess some are just following Cain's example:
(It's easy to kill your brother.)

Humankind's squabbles only make me sigh,
We feel so superior when we dehumanize.
But this short time, aren't there better things to do?
Because every person in the world is going to die
(Including me and you.)
