The Accident

Rain pounding,
a wind howling
roaring through the night.
Clarity gone,
a bitter tone
replaced by a sinful fright.
Red flows,
a lifeless glow
never again to see light.
He cried,
as she died
a tortured soul filled with plight.

Hi cyn, thought this was excellent, really. Deserved to be cherried, sometimes I wonder about that lot on editorial. I love the rhythym of this piece, brought about by the clever ryhming pattern of your stanzas - 1st and 2nd lines; 3rd and 6th etc. Much enjoyed. Getting round to more Grave Obsession real soon. You seem as much at home with poetry as prose. Good stuff!
