Death

Death has come knocking once again
I don't know, should I let him in?
He has been at my door twice already
I send him away, I'm not ready.
It's only a matter of time before he comes back
Sickle in hand, waiting to attack.
I will make my amends as petty as they are
To the ones I love, both near and far.
Death will come knocking once again
I'll grant him entrance, welcome him in.
For this plane of existence I hold so dear
I will not cry, will not shed a tear.
The road I chose was mine to take
In the morn, I will no longer wake.
