Writers Block and How you helped me beat it

So it's been a while, I'll admit that. While I'd love to blame it on something worth while like "Tis the season!" the fact of the matter is that I hit a road block in the proverbial mindscape that is world building.
I had this idea that the initial three races would be immortal until the God of Creation sees them fighting and is like "Screw you, here's death!" but that didn't make a lot of sense to have immortal races because as one person commented, How do you measure the outcome, where do you put the people as the world populates etc etc. And I was stuck on that for a while.
But it was another comment (Thanks folks!) that mentioned how maybe the god's perspective on death was different than that of the traditional perspective. Which got me to thinking... What if the God didn't even know it was possible to die? I mean, a new god really wouldn't think in finite terms of a lifespan right?
So I dug around in my head a bit and rejiggered the perspective of the God to be that of naive surprise. Like "Wait what, why are those creatures' souls no longer existing, what's going on!?" and then kinda freaking out and having a bit of a break down (I promise I'll write it better when I actually get it down on... pa..per? Some old terms just don't translate well into the technosphere.
Long story short (That still works!) I hope to be writing more frequently again.
Thanks again!
