The Darkwolf
A light cloaked in shadow;
A soul shackled in chains of eldritch hue;
A heart once aglow now cold.
Savage, implacable, deadly.
All of these am I;
The wolf among sheep;
The Darkwolf;
When I hunt;
fear.

I love the Jack London
I love the Jack London story,
"Feared by everyone, loved by no one.
"White Fang was part dog, part wolf.
It’s a pity that he spoilt the last chapter. Flat. I think he had to have cash for a bottle. "Call of the Wild" goes the other way ‘round. A domestic dog called to the primeval, to the savage, by the ancestor, by the wilderness. The better book I would say. I've always loved stories about dogs.
Live on Dark Wolf!

It seems an uneasy life- always on the prowl! and lonely. I don't suppose the wolf knows what loneliness is! He doesn't think that far. I wonder what stem eldritch has? It is indeed a strange word!
Just thoughts of mine ;)

Eldritch means "weird and
Eldritch means "weird and hideous". The sound captures the mood well. It’s a very appropriate word in your context. Derived from Scottish. This is a good poem, and even more so when seen on the spiritual level.
Excellent! Tom
