Hungry, the oceans swell
Bloated by heat, gorged on pollution.
Gnawing the rocky land,
Swallowing once verdant earth.
By the Human Hand
An agonized death,
Impaled on barbs of steel
Thrashing in blood darkened foam
Older than time, the last of the few
By the Human Hand
Through turquoise shimmering glass
Rainbow colours now dulled to ash,
Empty husks, skeletal forests
Silent, still and lifeless
By the Human Hand
The cradle of all life
With myriad wonders abounding
Tainted now
Withering and toxic
By the Human Hand.
