Virus
Dark skies above us,
The virus is there,
We’ve been told to stay home,
If we dare to go out there.
We must stay away from people we love,
Pretend that they are ill,
Coughing and sneezing,
the sickness is there,
even though no sign within.
Lighter skies are coming,
3 vaccines available to us,
But we must remain at home,
Until the NHS get to us.
Holidays are cancelled,
Schools remain closed.
Only the vaccine can help us until then.
We hope God will look over us.
We don’t know how this will end?
Over a million dead,
Hospitals at bursting point,
Ambulances bringing more patients for beds.
We pray for the relatives that are suffering with grief.
97 per cent recover, or so we are told.
Daily death toll is over a thousand a day.
