The Existentialist

Do i only exist if you can see me,
or hear me?.

What if you see my photograph?.

Is that me?

But what if i was dead, and
you saw my picture, would i be gone,
or not?.

What if you hear a recording of my voice?.

Is that me?.

What if you read something that i had written?.

Like this poem.

Is this me?

Maybe i never wrote this poem.
Maybe it was written by somebody pretending to be me.

Then would i have existed,
if someone pretends to be me?.

Maybe i had never existed.

Maybe you do not exist aswell.

Maybe you are a photograph looking at this poem,
written by somebody pretending to be me.

And what if the photograph of the person reading the poem,
written by somebody pretending to be me.

Was a photograph of the person pretending to be me.
