ever here that comment about a

cluttered desk being a sign of a

cluttered mind?

ever here that Einstein himself

as then what an empty desk must be a

sign of?

 

hmmm…

 

if you are reading this from your

phone,

said poem will not apply---

unless of course you consider your

choice of dress to be tidy vs. untidy,

or perhaps your hair is as messed up as

just having rolled out from a bed of

sex,

perhaps last evening was a rough one---

a bar fight,

a bit too much of the drink, of the

coke?

 

still, this desk in front of

me

which much like the desk in front of those

reading this poem from their PC

must be much the same,

it sits covered in books,

burnt down candles, used light bulbs,

dvds, cd’s, a mass of papers,

extra loud light shining from the lamp,

a single black marker, a wasted battery,

a Blue Snowball microphone (covered with

a plastic sandwich bag, to keep the dust out),

a basically empty bottle of melatonin,

and a thin layer of dust that makes the skin

of all those areas of said desk

which my hands & elbows do not frequent,

as they drag around in

habit---

might all this reveal that this mind inside this

skull is a

rambling,

screaming,

dancing,

singing,

laughing,

thinking &

creative person,

who places value on the doing of life,

over the cleaning up &

making appearances for

others?

 

what does your desk say?
