even at the bottom

no matter how bad one thinks that it can

get,

we must always remember that

there is someone who has it worse---

yes,

even at the bottom,

that furthest place that we think we can

fall,

that deepest pit,

that long, long

corridor that

swallows one

up---

still,

there is someone out there

who has already been there &

they are still

plummeting.

knowing this,

how quick & easy it can seem

to take it in stride,

as age brings atrophy,

as atrophy brings death,

with nothing but sickness,

loneliness &

financial ruin,

to rumble in between

(like rocks in a tin can) &

better yet,

to find happiness in the moments of realization

that this day,

today,

just might be the best day of your life.
