settled

to be “settled”

seems to be the goal of

so many &

they press upon the rest of us

this delusional

horizon---

somewhere where very little changes &

there is eternal shelter over one’s head,

somewhere where they are finally loved

genuinely &

where the coins that jingle

flow everlasting from their pockets,

so as to never ever struggle again,

so as to never ever feel the emotional pain that

some of us

never

ever

leave,

so as to never know again all the fighting, all the

scrapping,

that it took to become anything at all,

in this uncaring, unsatisfying,

brief moment of

nonsense.

better to understand that the chaos

never ceases,

than to try & imagine it’s not there---

better to dwell within the struggle &

learn from it,

rather than attempt to erase it, to get rid of it &

walk the world inexperienced &

useless,

and while that may be “unsettling” for many,

it will come as less of a shock to you when

all the planning

just doesn’t work out.
