My habitual lover,
You're still in my sheets and my sugar in my coffee
My sweet retreat, my mind still caters to you
A lover lost in the wind but who refuses to quit the air I breathe
I shared my sheets with someone else this weekend, and a silly guilt plagues me like a mother calling. Where are you pretty dove, and why haven't I seen your white side in so long? The morning misses you, as do I, and the air's thick with you in it today love.
I'm reaching out to grasp you but you slither away like a storm showering someone else's garden. My plants have been parched so long.
These morning sheets of mine are threatening mutiny as they're aching for rain.
