In the Halls of Durant High

I post this little Tribute to our classmates each year and today I was remembering the last day of school our senior year how we watched each other walk away fading into our own individual futures, some never to be seen again.

On a bright and sunny day
my memory wants to stay
and linger for awhile
in the halls of Durant High

It was there for a while
all the fun we had
life was like a dream
the good times and the bad

I wonder where they are
I wonder how they fared
as time streams by
in the halls of Durant High

I believe in my heart
the ones that have left
are watching over us nigh
in the halls of Durant High
