Life is like a river
flowing ever flowing
never really knowing
what lies around the bend

Beginning at birth
the river of life
gets wider and wider
as time goes by

As the stream widens
and becomes a torrent
it brings lifes surprises
with each new day

Little eddies may form
and spin us around
stop the flowing and
toss us on the ground

Snags along the way
hidden from view
often can catch us
and make us blue

To release us
and set us free
to forgive someone
that is Love's key.
