why is it so hard to get published

the stories i write may not be the best, but they are written with love, my husband ian came up with the idea, when he died suddenly in june this year, i decided to try and get his ideas on paper and ive tried to get published but not one of the litery agents ive written to have said yes , what do you have to do to get published, there must be a way, i would love to just to show that my wonderful husbands ideas were good.
