Reflection (wedding Feast)
After reading the book of Matthew 22:1-14 all over again and reading through the notes and comments we put up there, I came to realize this: In the OT the bible teaches us that sacrifices was always done with the premium quality farm animals.
And here we see it's the master who himself prepare the atonement for the guest, Mat 22:4 Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.
1. We are the guest in every street corner who was invited by the King through his Servants.
2. All of us came to banquet because of or for something.
3. The only difference between us and the first guest who refused to go, is that we attended it.
4. We too we do not deserved at all to be at the wedding feast 5. We too we might be in the wedding feast right now or for years without wearing the wedding garment
Dear friends it's important to understand that every parable teaches us only one thing, its reveals to us the Kingdom of Heaven.
Did we respond to the invitation of the Master?
Are we prepared though with might be already in the feast? For the Master of the banquet will surely come to see his guest and I pray that none are thrown out.
We all know that it's no nice to be already enjoying something, enjoying the foods and the music when suddenly you are taken out of the feast.
So is it, when you attend the wedding feast only for the foods and the atmosphere and not honoring the master of the Banquet. In the Jewish tradition for a wedding all the men are dress in white,so it is easy to notice if someone is not dress for the wedding. Same with the Kingdom of Heaven, We might now enjoying the feast and not honoring the Master,BUT the time will come when surely we won't be allowed to hide from his justice.
We cannot attend the wedding feast with our old way of thinking, We cannot come along with our tradition. We are a new creature when we come to the feast of God, our lives are transformed. Let's clothed ourselves with the character of Christ and let his light shine dear friends.
Recap. -The master wanted so much the guest to be with HIM.
-The master took time to prepare the banquet.
-They were murderers
-The only difference between us and the first guest who refused to go, is that we attended it.
-We are a new creature when we come to the feast of God, our lives are transformed.
God wants to encounter every one of us! He is looking for a divine encounter with you and me. His Divine love to be poured out in our lives, for the Love of God change and transform lives. That's why the master did, He shows and shown mercy and grace to all the guest who did not deserved to be there.
For He is Love.
I pray that we can portray ourselves in this particular parable of the wedding feast and come to know where we are standing.
There's no more time to play games or should go further to say, no time to play church.
For many are called, but few are chosen.
And let me tell you that it's the King's heart that all are chosen, unfortunately it does not depend on Him, but on us.
Make the right choice, all we need is HIM.
We were slaves and in every street corners, HE found us and HE saved us, not to go back to tradition but to be guest in the wedding feast, to be resident in Heaven above.
Hope that this short commentaries on the parable of the wedding banquet have been and will remain a blessing to your life.
Brotherly in Christ,
