needs to be cultivated
Left alone to grow

thrown at it,
to make it stronger
brighter and more vibrant.
Pruned, and regularly
admired from afar,
as well as close up
With it's petals' scent
to be raped
Thorns are there to protect
They can cut so.
Able to draw blood.
But time and time again
