To be in the NME
I want to hide behind a rock n' roll genius.
Make out with the press and generate an unbelievable fuss.
Create a myth a day, so my doctor will call on my liver.
Pretend to discover a new art form.
Shame my name, play at avent garde.
All for three riffs and a stupid Quiff.
Quote the quote(s),
From Stoke to Barnstaple,
Will be my diet
Pinned on walls
(a fast three minute rendition)
Endless raps, against the system that
Invents my existence.
Socialist ideals, anarchist ways
Spare the capitalists for they pay my way,
Beg, borrow and steal
To feel mighty unreal
Sound similar, revolt the same,
End quickly for then,
There'll be no pain. - just clich? -
