The God that is Me
Shut up! Shut up! I have something to say.
Shut up! And Listen to my voice.
Let me talk to you about me.
I know I'm wonderful. I am so often told.
People stop, and listen to what I have to say.
They watch, wonder, and wish,
Hoping I may speak.
My ego may grow, bigger and bigger, with each day.
But I know, you're hanging on my every breath, my every word.
I can see, how desperate you are, to listen to me.
The world, I know, rotates around me, bringing you close to me, so I
can tell you, how great I am, and bring you, hand in hand, closer to
the enlightenment that is me.
