I’m really saddened by what we’ve become;
We’re a nation of slobs getting fat and dumb.
While over there in the Middle East
People get slaughtered in the name of peace.

Just take a beer, fart and scratch.
Settle down to watch the match.
When some news is shown of the war death toll
Change the channel by remote control.

But don’t worry yourself,
You’re on the side of the winning team.
We’re all the good guys’
‘cos we’re living the American dream.

Two million marched in our democracy
But no one’s taken notice of you and me.
Every night on our TV’s
People get murdered in the name of peace.

Some poor G.I. lies dead in the sand.
Blair and Bush have more than oil on their hands.
One more execution, one more roadside bomb
One more boost in profits for U S A dot com.

But don’t worry yourself,
Only the bad guys scream
And we’re the good guys,
‘cos we’re living the American Dream.
