Ten more minutes and then I’ll get out of bed

got some great ideas running through my head

All about a guy who wants to rule the world

Or I could make the story all about a girl

Just a coffee and I’ll be set to go

Got my notepad and my writing pen and so

Just some toast and then I’ll be good to go

There’s the telephone- I’ll put it all on hold

Amidst the brouhaha, I might just make some tea

Start the apocalypse without me

Settling down to write, the cat sits on my pen

You know I hate to move her I’ll just wait till when

She gets bored and moves off to another room

I’ll write down the ideas coming into bloom

It’s a classic but I’ve got to get it right

Got the feeling that I’ll be here all night

I’ll fetch some coffee and some food to snack upon
