Tiger Lily

Far away in an Indian tribe,
Lives a girl who excepts no bribe.
To be a slave in an African state,
And not follow the path of her superstitious fate.

She has the most beautiful name,
Tiger Lily, but she is extremely tame!
Brought up in a family of twelve brothers and sisters,
She is still proud even though her father still hits her.

She once was kidnapped with her sister Lil Bear,
But their kicking and screaming was fortunately rare.
So they let them go in a week or two,
After slaving away, their ordeal was through.

They ran through the meadows as fast as they could,
Tripping and falling and sliding through mud.
After a couple of months they were back safe at home,
But the destination of their siblings was distinctly unknown.

For they too had been kidnapped by the gang,
Who were known as the Lowly Riverside Fang.
But before they knew it they had broken away free,
And now they believe it runs in their family tree!
