Sea view

I took her to the sea side
for a night at an over-priced B&B
with a sea view
of dustbins and the car-park.
We shared fish and chips,
dangling our feet
over the harbour wall
amid wind-blown, salty kisses.
Abandoning our shoes
we walked bare-footed
onto the beach
searching for fossils.
Wading out
to a rock off the shore
we lay hidden from view,
making out and scaring the seagulls.
I pulled her to her feet
and into my arms
as we shed our clothes,
caution to the wind.
Plunging in
we ducked and dived for kisses
sharing our sea-salty love
with the fishes and the waves.
