I think I prefer the night to the day-the dark to the light
It’s the sense of mystery, the stillness
Things are moving the same speed at night, but it seems like nothings moving at all, everything’s still
The street is empty but the shadows of the trees dance on the ground beneath
An odd contrast-movement in stillness
Listening to ten thousand leaves making noise in the wind

But in the day, you just see the sun, and you know.
Follow it across the sky and you can guess the hour, knowing exactly how long is left

The dark night makes me not feel the cold which I dread to feel in the morning
You’ll never see things the same as you see them at night.
New colours are made; a strange sepia, hints of orange off those street lights.
Whereas you can see everything in the day-only the brightest things shine out in the dark-the light from inside a train’s windows shoot across the dark on a rail bridge far away.
You don’t know what’s there in the dark; your imagination goes wild.

Things go bump in the night, but only make a noise in the day.
We see things we can only imagine once we are in the dark, it’s those tricks again.

Excited to stay up and wait for Father Christmas or to see the New Year come in. Stay up and watch the exciting TV.
The night time is where we stay up late talking on the phone to the ones we can’t be with
It’s where we stay up later that we should of wrestling under covers and playing games in the dark.
It’s the moments we remember most.
We save the best things for the night time; the whole world works in the day so they can play at night
The night is where we dream, the day is where we think. The night is where we rest, the day is where we stress.
I like the night to the day, and that is a few reasons why.
