'Where were you born?'

'I was born in the dark on a friday morning. 4.am I entered the World, it was cold outside, but warm in the back room of the Italian restaurant where I was pulled out kicking and scremaing. You would have been convinced I was sad about leaving where I'd been for the past nine months, but it was the complete opposite, I was keen and eager to get into the World. See what I could do.
Life was good back then, it was a time I didnt know how to care. Over the years I was taught how to-not by choice. Only in the last hour I've unlearnt what I learnt. I used to care about lots of things, then I relaized nothing matters.
It was a time before mobile phones, when if your mother breaks her water during a power cut while at an anniversary meal, you'll just have to be borned in the back room. A time when people might have been more friendly and a meal could last til the early hours because the owners were fun people. I won't know. Maybe people where better back then. How can I tell?
Everyone always comments how Italian I look when I tell them my name, I have the same response, ''I'm not Italian, it's the name of the restaurant I was named after''. Antonio isn't a bad name, I've got used to it. Does that answer your question?
'Yes, but what happened an hour ago?'
