Transient boots stare up at the imposing asphalt expressway
Knowing not where rusty gates reside
Dust envelops the soul as if a warm blanket
The dull snap of heel upon gravel--a symphony
Howing Northern gale darts thhrough thick beard
Piercing the lungs with sweet liquors
Eyes pan out--revealing the dripping gooey expanse of horizon
Searching, always searching
Seeking, always seeking
Solace
Trudge onward muddy boots into the light
