LIBRARY BOOK.
I love the expectation as I hold you close to me,
I wonder what lies waiting, what secrets will there be?
I feel your well-worn cover, my fingers down your spine,
I smell your musky pages, and hang on every line.
The more that I look at you, the more I want to know,
I hunger for your knowledge, but how deep should I go?
You make me feel so many things, with you I can depend,
To quench this thirst within me, from Chapter One to End.
Then comes the time to take you back, else pay a heavy fine,
But often as I let you go,
I wish that you were mine...
