Society killed the teenager.
We are the poisoned youth.
In a society that profits from your self doubt.
Liking yourself is a rebellious act.
Destroying adventures and leaving only the exploit of self-destruction.
Imagination turned into order of thought trained to compel yourself into negativity.
Crawled into the confided depths of darkness with no escape but the withdrawal of mindlessness.
Mirror reflections distorted by the construction of social acceptance.
With a perfect picture of how things are supposed to be.
You're left with constant disappointment.
Thank you for the hardship.
I need it for my mastery.
We are who we choose to be.
You're not going to be saved.
You can only save yourself.
There are good and bad monsters.
If you stop fighting them.
You're all on the same side.
For you to achieve your greatest expression.
You must come completely undone.
The soft bonds of love are indifferent to life and death.
Ironically.
The things we do to feel alive.
Are the things that kill us.
Praying for storms and dreaming for peace.
I tried not to think.
But silence is also a killer.
Sometimes there is sadness in our journey.
But there is also beauty.
Don't let mind of nothingness control you.
Defy the rules of society by doing what needs to be done.
By being you.
Without the constrictions of passive aggressive self-doubt.
Because that's ok.
Even the sky cries sometimes.
We either make ourselves miserable.
Or we make ourselves strong.
The amount of work is the same.
We are damaged and we are dangerous.
Because we know we can survive.
Nobody offers you a helping hand.
Because you need no more.
We blame society.
But we are society.
The teenager killed society.
