A Melody Remembered

A melody remembered,
for being incomplete,
its harmonies were perfect,
yet they didn't quite fit,
the notation neatly written,
on crisp white manuscript,
each note so soft and gentle,
with chords echoeing each beat,
voices kept on singing,
cause they couldn't find an end,
every combination tried,
just missed that certain flair,
someday it will be finished,
with an ending heaven sent,
but for now they'll just keep trying,
to complete the incomplete.

I like this one, it reminds
I like this one, it reminds me of all the things that I'm working on which never feel quite finished. But then that's the pleasure sometimes, something too finely crafted feels dead and completing it is like sealing it firmly in it's coffin.

I agree - this is much

I agree - this is much better and a nice idea, but it needs editing. Some of the words, eg. 'heaven sent', 'soft and gentle' are a bit easy for my taste. Maybe you could think about the words you use more carefully for originality?
