This child with far to go

Steadfast;amidst her drowning crashing emotions
a life part spun where misty tears run free
Life part played on page and stage
touching the soft blue sky or summer rain

Infant slips silently sweetly to bridal gown
Without fuss or protest into another day
Shimmers of light to delight and dream
Knowing tomorrow would be forever thus

Church clock strikes or mourns her passing
gossamer dress and spider veil
with shoes of ice and snow
this child with far to go

She beats her earth in magical consistency
Catches not her breath whilst we sigh away
Yet; far away on that same day
A soft new dream is born!
