If you feel deceived in me,
I meant no harm although
it’s clear I did more than
a little to both of
us, don’t you think?
Don’t think I wanted to leave
the helter skelter headlong
rush, but leave I did
for the sake of others
-although they’ll never know.
If only I could just undo
things, yet leave them done;
for I wouldn’t have missed
them for reality’s world
or any realm of sense.
And tears, that clichéd ending
- but what did I expect?
When talking was enough,
or even holding hands
and not just for you.
