If I could rewrite it all,
I’d change the details.
The wars would still happen
-and the Holocaust,
I regret to say.
If a Rothschild had
bought an Austrian village
scene for his collection,
don’t think it would have
made a difference.

But I’d still change the details:
I’d have had Louis Armstrong
walking on the moon.
