The waitress said go ‘straight on’,

and south to Cal-i-phate.'

Right past the city limits,
just like the guide book said,
a road that had no signposts
and blacktop turnin' grey.

Down a wooded gravel track,
just like the guidebook said,
looked like it went nowhere
and maybe even fast.

I knew it when I got there,
just like that guidebook said.
