In for a penny, in for a pound,
let's take a punt on the poem-go-round.
Three for a dactyl, one for the rhyme;
let's fit the words in, seven at a time.
Force in a kenning, deploy your inky feather,
fluffy cotton metaphors, for any cloudy weather.
Let's be craftsmen, let's make it work,
hope they never notice, you're writing like a berk.
Put in a simile, leave out a word,
keep on changing, polishing a turd.
