First of all, let's call it prosetry. Well, I've been playing with this one for well over 10 years. My normal mode of working is give the keyboard a bash and then dash. Those I do fiddle with, I rarely improve. However, I've had a go with this... Moonlight Over Seville
Now this IS very old. I spent a whole, hot summer in Sevilla (learning to be a TEFL teacher, as we were called then) before I moved out full time to Spain the year after. From June to September everyone in the city stays up until 4 a.m. because it's too hot to sleep. On rare occasions there'll be a cloudburst, many people just stay outside, for the rain never lasts long. The city does look wonderful in the moonlight. Leonard & Co-hen
Cohen claimed that all his lyrics were just poetry. He would write on anything that came to hand, sift through fragments later, pairing them up, piecing them together, one step up from Dada-ist Triztan Tzara's cut-ups, I suppose. Anyway, that's what i like to do, write bits and join them up later - or not.
