This is a Spell

It is words,
sharp-edged, double-sided,
ambiguous, ambivalent
a spell of enchantment
and desire.
It is looks,
hot-eyed, sidelong glances
contiguous, contumely,
a wanton expression
of desire.
It is done,
moon-cast, passion’s magic,
rebellious, romantic
a simple conjuring
by desire.

Intriguing poem Ewan, it
Intriguing poem Ewan, it casts a spell of its own – The reader wonders: Is this a spell cast by true incantation or by the spirit drenched in extraordinary desire, either way it is a potent poem.

Shakespeare
The weird sisters hand in hand thus do go about about, thrice to thine and thrice to mine and thrice again to make up nine, round about the cauldron go in the poison’d entrails throw, double double toil and trouble fire burn and cauldron bubble, for a charm of powerful trouble like a hell-broth boil and bubble -Macbeth
Imagine you could write like that. I do find your poem's geometry very interesting and how you do the verses with all the spacing I wonder how one does it?
In those days everyone believed in witches as common knowledge. Must admit I also find a grim fascination in the idea and it is very popular still in the movies. According to my brother, what is the difference between science and magic? A handful of transistors.
