The trouble with poems
- written by blokes -
is the fucked-up metre
for the sake of the jokes.
Whilst emotional ditties,
from a fairer hand,
are more "tru-luv" sappy
than a stomach can stand.
Ah, soured bird of youth,
why fly? Just wallow
in buckets of angst
that are hard to swallow.
