To kiss your lips, sweet as starlight
Syrup on the blackest of days.
To be there, in the warmth
Of your singular presence.
To have you, beside me, always,
Without need nor cause;
Just simply for the reason that,
your existence completes mine own.
Peer into your ocean-eyes, wider and deeper still
An abyss in the greatest way; endless, mysterious,
the perfect place to be lost and stay.
For us to unravel and out from there, together
find a way.
And when that nectar,
of you there, is sour, or runs dry,
I hope and wish and pray away
that we might spark new fire,
For though distance may seem right,
as stars take at night,
They are really always there,
hidden in plain sight.
