Conversations With Tony
I dreamt once
that at the end of a climb
of verdant hills
and a sunlight
so engorged with strength
that each step felt like a wave
a wave of ease and ascent
I arrived to a parade
of buildings that lyrically
described civilisation's
enduring joy
inside
Escher couldn't have described
such endlessness within
a ceiling
hearing a steady deep-pile murmering
of those who sat around
on mythically-scaled
flights of stairs
surrounded by books
more numerous and fecund
than a field of wheat
besides the murmurs
music rose
and set in motion
great peals of myself
I wandered like a welcome child
eager blameless indulged
and thats what it feels like
in conversation with Tony
