Lightning

Foreword: This is the first poem I ever wrote when I was eleven, almost nine years ago so you've been warned :')
Lightning is fast and furious like a sprinter in the sky,
Lightning can beat anything with its flash, hard to see with the human eye,
Lightning is electric that has been sewn onto the sky by God himself,
Lightning is king of the sky not caring for wealth,
Lightning streaks light and fear od storms into our hearts,
Lightning sets houses alight with its blaze, making people fear it and its cunning smartness,
Lightning is bold and brave to streak the sky,
Lightning streaks trees tall, vast and high,
With houses ablaze its work done, it leaves the night
Until another day as quickly as it came,
The lightning now, no more, streaks the sky,
It has now vanished like you and I will,
When we are old and cease to live nevermore,
Like the lightning in the sky that has just passed by.

Nice, lol. It contemplates
Nice, lol. It contemplates mortality at the end, a neat trick for an 11 year old.

You're an old soul,
You're an old soul, FallenAngel, contemplating mortality like that. And I like that you were writing poems at 11. At 11 I was glued to the tv screen. I love your rumination on lightening.
