The day my Neice got married...

Anna & Lewis
On the 12th day of May, two thousand and twelve …. we went to a church in Fen Ditton
It had high gothic arches and lots of stained glass …. and little old pews we could sit on

We were all dressed up in our finest …. we were there to witness a marriage
Of Lewis, and Anna his princess …. who arrived in a fairy-tale carriage

Beautiful Anna looked fab in her dress .… and Lewis looked smart in his suit
With their two lovely bridesmaids dressed up in pink …. and flower girls who were so cute

When they met did they think they would be here today…. who knows, perhaps it was fate
But Anna and Lewis, they both had a dream…. to have a wedding like William & Kate

Their love first ignited at college …. where they learned about engines and cogs
But they soon settled down to everyday life …. with a home, 4 kids and 2 dogs

Leah and Ellie were first on the scene…. no sweeter young girls could you meet
Then their two cheeky boys followed later…. to make their family complete

It’s hard balancing home life with study…. most people would find it a chore
But Anna she takes it all in her stride …. being a mum whilst studying law

And Lewis can also multi task…. his talents they are quite rare
He can drive a number 20 bus…. whilst cutting someone’s hair

Lewis is proud of his southern roots…. but it’s not quite the same for his bride
Because Anna, whilst she’s from Cambridge now…. is pure Yorkshire on the inside

Well their plans came together, there’s no going back…. and now they are husband and wife
And It’s a privilege to be here to share in their joy…. today the best day of their life

A day that was planned with precision …. but their efforts have all been worthwhile
As it showed on the face of the bride and the groom …. hand in hand as they walked down the aisle

We wish them good luck, we send them our love …. on a day they’ll remember forever
And we all hope that Anna and Lewis …. have a wonderful, long life together
