An earthquake is a natural disaster:
we blame God.

What happened on Tuesday
was not an act of God,
but of men for the God they believed
they served,
as long ago crusaders prayed to the God
who preached tolerance of all faiths
as they tried to wipe out Islam. .

When the dust has settled
and the dead taken to their living
and the fear and pain of loss
turns to righteous wrath
and the search for blame

there will be others:

mothers, fathers, children
who's fault was living
in a land whose rulers sheltered the killers
of those who died
in the Land Of The Free

and no God
will be to blame
