Chapter 7

After the final exams, Seline got top placement in a firm with a handsome salary, which made her aunt, uncle, and foster siblings happy! Selene was very happy with the offer. All her friends were happy for her except Stella, for Selene had to leave to another city about 5 hours travel from here, but of course, they could contact by phone and she would come here on holidays.

After exams, there was a get together party, and Selene could not attend the party because her aunt was not doing well. All the classmates promised each other to keep in touch and got sentimental as such!

Steve went to some foreign land for higher studies after which he would be absorbed into his father's business.

Chapter 8

Three years had passed by, and Steve was running his father's business with great expertise, and was doing very well.

Seline had come up in her firm by hard work and expertise and was in a very good position.

For Christmas holidays, Seline came home to visit her aunt, uncle, and their daughters.

On Christmas eve, the whole house was in preparation for Christmas, decorating and all! Seline went to church along with her friend Stella. When they entered the church they happened to see Steve and his parents park their car and come towards the direction of the church!

Chapter 9

When Steve parked his car and came towards the direction of the church, he happened to see Seline and her friend Stella enter the church! He was doing very well in business lately and thought that it was time to settle down after all! He had always had a soft corner for Seline, which had not changed after all these years, and he had been thinking on these lines just a week before when his parents were touching the subject of his marriage and he thanked God for presenting him with this timely opportunity, and he dearly hoped that Seline or his guardians had no objection and above all he dearly wished that his parents would accept his choice and not force him to marry a rich, affluent girl they knew!

When the time was right, he opened his mind to his parents, and when they saw Seline though they instantly liked her were hesitant for obvious reasons which melted away to acceptance for primarily they wanted their son to be happy after all!

Chapter 10

It was late in the evening when Stella and Seline reached home. She dropped Seline at her aunt's house on her way home. Her aunt welcomed Seline home and though she placed her children before Seline, now seeing what Seline had done for them began to see her as her third daughter and was willing to see her settle down in life! Indeed one of the neighboring family friend of hers had asked for Seline's hand for their son who was doing very well in business in the nearby town. She wanted to break the news to Seline when the time was appropriate!

It was Christmas and a merry day! After all the celebrations, Seline and her little family went to church and they were in for a shock for Father Miguel asked her aunt for a private talk and after she came back she just could not contain herself!

Nothing need to be said what happened afterward! Seline and Steve were happily married in the same church a few months later and lived happily thereafter.

Chapter 11

Ten years had passed by, and Seline had a beautiful daughter and a son who were going to school now and kept her entertained when they were at home! Seline's friend Stella who was also married now with two beautiful daughters lived in the same town, invited her for an outing to a church with her family, which they visited often even though her parents had moved out of the area long back before the dreadful floods that had wiped out the whole village to oblivion.

They entered the ancient church, which was attended by only a few members for it was very distant and the services were very limited for it was run by an old Father who was almost in his last days. Also, funds were very limited due to being visited by a less number of people, but it was once a famous church.
