The Earth,
dark & soiled ,
absorbs my fragile body.
The Wind,
restless & cold ,
blows against my burnt skin.
The Air,
gasping & choking
fills my aching lungs with hope.
The Water
knowing & flowing
runs through my veins
like the river carves through the mountain.
The Fire
boils my blood soaked heart & sparks my soul as
my Spirit lifts
& unleashes my inner strength;
The darkness of despair
Illuminates the truth,
I am alive
I am here
I am One
The moment is now
There is no other time.
There is no other you
We already are
what we want to become...
There is no end.
No beginning.
Only change.

Hi Firebird,
brilliant poem, full of passion. I love the first
three lines, The Earth, dark and soiled, absorbs my
fragile body. Could almost be the start of a story.
Great piece.
Jenny.
