Alone

Alone
With every fear filled step of dread
Deeper into the darkness now I tread
A lonely trail with no end in sight
I blindly tread the eternal night
A cracking twig stops me dead
Frozen now I strain ahead
Unseeing, one sense down
Beads of sweat come dripping down
A haunted breeze
Stirs the slumbering trees
‘Oh Lord if you could’
Get me out of this endless wood

I take it this is from the heart and fits in well with the IP phrase. If it is present personal testimony, I join you with the prayer that the Lord soon 'would' get you out of the 'wood', and that meanwhile He would uphold you. But I can see that as you still cry to Him in it, you still have a deep sense of seeing the 'as yet unseen' things ahead though feeling so physically and spiritually low, and in the dark at present.
