Grey Rules
The pre-lit sky is painted Grey
A simple meditation
Mono minded wakens the world
Before the bewildering kaleidoscope
Of colours adorn the day.
Ever seen a rainbow battleship?
In glorious Grey
The hide in the oceans and the seas
But no one sees them on the sea, see?
There is a reason why…
Those cameleonic Tardis’s got stuck
In Glorious, anonymous Grey.
Grey is king in my dark mind
The blank slate face I show to all
Hides my screaming soul.
When the pain is too much,
All I show the world are shades of Grey.
In the great debate that’s raged
Since time began one colour fits all,
Grey rules and dampens all who cry...
“…….is the greatest colour”
“No ….. must adorn the mighty!”
Seen as colourless; a nothing shade
Of emptiness.
Dark Matter really should be Grey.
It binds my waking
And ends a colourless day.
